Done

  • Address search for stations

Type an address, pick from the results, and the position lands on the map.

  • Task types

Text, photo, quiz and QR scan on site. Quiz answers and scans are scored automatically.

  • Accessible to BITV 2.0

Fully operable by keyboard, checked with a screen reader, high contrast.

  • Joining without an account

Scan a QR code or type a short code. No app store, just the browser.

  • Live scoring and leaderboard

Teams see where they stand while the run is still going.

  • Feed and announcements

Countdown, reminder, notice and alert, to every team or to one in particular.

  • Rich text with images

Descriptions, instructions and legal texts with headings, lists and images. Every image needs a description.

  • Multilingual content

Any number of languages per organisation. Where a translation is missing, the main language steps in.

  • Stations as a list and a map

Every station has a place. Teams follow it as a list or on the map.

  • Team chat with a call for help

Private within the team. On request the coordinator joins and leaves again afterwards.

This is where we stand today

Building

  • Searching stations and tasks

Filter and sort, so that a large stock stays workable.

Planned

  • A final ranking to share

A public link to the result of a run, plus a closing report for the coordination.

  • Exporting the analysis

Take it away as a file, for a report, a talk or the archive.

  • Your own name for the application per installation

Until now the name is fixed in the source.

  • Several organisations on one installation

Each with its own content, runs and users.

  • Control over organisation registration

After the first organisation, further sign-ups stay closed until the operator opens them. With only one organisation, joining no longer asks which.

  • Funded up to here

Everything up to this point was built in the DIWA 4.0 programme of the City of Augsburg, co-funded by the European Union. What comes after is open.

    About the funding

Possible later on

  • Badges and trophies

A team collects them along the way, and each organisation sets its own.

  • A native Android application

For stretches without a network and a start from the home screen.

  • An own look per organisation

Own colours, typeface and logo, so a rally looks like the municipality running it.

  • A presentation view for the projector

Join code and QR large on the screen, without the administration frame around them.

  • An open interface per organisation

Create and read content and runs programmatically, for your own tools and integrations.

  • Voice recording in the application

Record an answer directly instead of handing the recording to the phone.

  • Layouts for tablets and large screens

Taking part is built for the phone. On larger devices more room could be put to use.

  • Templates, export and exchange of rallies

Pass a finished rally on to another municipality.

  • Arabic, Ukrainian and right-to-left

The interface exists in German and English so far.
